CLNG Warns Against Complacency Based on EIA Gas Price Forecast

Natural gas consumers should not be “lulled into a false sense of energy security” by the Energy Information Administration’s prediction of lower gas bills, according to Bill Cooper, the executive director of the Center for Liquefied Natural Gas. The EIA on Tuesday forecasted lower consumer gas bills, despite a possible increase in natural gas consumption, during the upcoming winter. “It’s great news that prices will be lower than last year, but we can’t allow ourselves to become complacent about the cost of natural gas,” Cooper said.
