CLNG Criticizes Revised DEIR for Cabrillo Port LNG

The Center for Liquefied Natural Gas (CLNG) criticized the revised Draft Environmental Impact Report prepared for BHP Billiton’s Cabrillo Port LNG project, saying that the “worst case” LNG release scenarios in the DEIR are improbable and therefore exaggerate the risk posed by the proposed facility. “CLNG submits that these highly improbable scenarios should not be used to develop design criteria for LNG facilities, as the DEIR suggests,” said executive director Bill Cooper.  The DEIR was prepared by the California State Lands Commission. CLNG’s press release is here.
