Chevron Presents Five-Year Development Plan

Chevron yesterday announced a “five-year plan for sustained growth” that includes intensive efforts to market LNG to the United States. “The LNG element of our gas strategy is gaining momentum,” said John Gass, corporate vice president for Chevron Global Gas. “In just the past year, we’ve made significant progress.” Gass said Chevron has secured 1 Bcf/day capacity for 20 years at Cheniere’s Sabine Pass LNG terminal in Louisiana, which is expected to be fully constructed by the end of this year, and will continue the permitting process for its proposed Casotte Landing terminal in Pascagoula, Miss.
