CA State Lands Commission Staffer Questions Cabrillo Port Decision

Platts LNG Daily reports that in a question and answer period during the Offshore Technology Conference in Houston, a staff member of the California State Lands Commission queried whether Commissioners voted against a land lease for BHP Billiton’s proposed Cabrillo Port LNG terminal because of environmental concerns, as cited in their decision, or unsupported terrorism fears. “Staff voted that it would be OK to proceed with the project, but two out of three Commissioners voted against it,” he said.
