Port Considering Steps to Implement Court Order to Extend Land Lease for Oregon LNG Site

The Daily Astorian reports that, following a preliminary injunction issued by a U.S. district court requiring the Port of Astoria to extend the master lease underlying a sublease to Oregon LNG at the site of the developer’s planned LNG import terminal, the port commissioners met Tuesday to consider the steps necessary to implement the court’s order. A number of the port commissioners expressed concern over notices received from Oregon LNG claiming that the commissioners could be held personally liable for the developer’s legal fees in its lawsuit against the port.
