NGSA Chairman: U.S. LNG Imports Likely to Remain Low
Yesterday, Natural Gas Supply Association Chairman Patrick Kuntz, who also serves as Marathon Oil’s VP of natural gas and oil sales, said that increased domestic gas production and high natural gas prices around the world are likely to keep U.S. LNG imports low. According to Platts LNG Daily [subscription required], Kuntz went on to note that he remains unconvinced that production of “unconventional” gas, particularly from shale, will eliminate the United States’ need to import LNG in the future.
