Maryland Governor Skeptical of the Cost Saving Benefits of Sparrows Point

As the Maryland Public Service Commission considers a major rate increase, The Maryland Gazette reports that Gov. Martin O’Malley (D) remains skeptical that the proposed Sparrows Point LNG terminal would help keep energy costs down because much of the gas would be transported to Pennsylvania. In order to convince the governor, project sponsor AES says they will have to quantify proposed savings for customers.
