Gazprom’s Shtokman Decision Disappoints DOE Secretary Bodman
U.S. Department of Energy Secretary Samuel Bodman is “disappointed” by Gazprom’s decision to decline foreign assistance in the development of the company’s Shtokman natural gas field. He said that he will attempt to persuade Russian officials to reconsider U.S. involvement in the project. “I do know what our companies do and how able they are,” he said at a renewable energy conference yesterday.
