Shell Delays FID for Lake Charles LNG Export Terminal

Reuters reports that Shell has indefinitely delayed a final investment decision (FID) for its affiliate BG Group’s proposed Lake Charles LNG export terminal at Lake Charles, La.  In February, Shell Canada, primary sponsor of LNG Canada, indefinitely postponed an FID on its proposed LNG export terminal at Kitimat, British Columbia.

Corpus Christi Liquefaction Files Construction Progress Report

Corpus Christi Liquefaction has filed a report with FERC covering construction progress at its liquefaction and LNG export terminal near Corpus Christi, Texas through June 2016.  The report states that engineering has progressed to 98.4%, procurement has progressed to 50.6%, Bechtel’s direct hire construction progressed to 8.8%, and the total project has progressed to 36.6% complete....
