Market Conditions, Politics Present Challenges for Cheniere’s LNG Export Plan
In an analysis of Cheniere’s proposal to export U.S. natural gas as LNG via the company’s Sabine Pass facility, Reuters (carried by Forexyard.com) predicts that the project will face significant financial and political challenges. Zach Allen of Pan Eurasian Enterprises told Reuters, “I am not sure the economics work out in Cheniere’s favor,” noting that “Cheniere is either projecting some change in the market that is going to force LNG prices up to oil parity or [the project] doesn’t work.”
