Cold Weather in United States Spurs Increased LNG Sendout

Reuters reports that two natural gas industry analysts have reported increased LNG sendout from U.S. regasification terminals in recent days due to cold weather. NATS reports that sendout from U.S. LNG terminals totaled nearly 4 Bcf on Tuesday, while analysts with Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co. estimated that 3.2 Bcf was sent out on the same day. The report notes, for example, that Cove Point LNG received two LNG cargos this week.
