Kitimat LNG May Use Panama Canal Once Canal’s Expansion is Complete

Bloomberg reports that Kitimat LNG may use the Panama Canal to sell LNG to customers in the Atlantic Basin once the expansion of the canal is completed. Citing TradeWinds, Bloomberg reports that when the expansion is complete in 2014, 80% of the global LNG fleet will be able to use the canal.

Golden Pass LNG Terminal Expecting Commissioning Cargo in August or September

California State Senate Passes Bill on Future LNG Proposals

Yesterday the California State Senate passed a bill, SB 376, that would require future LNG project applicants to certify that they have consulted with the U.S. Department of Defense and to conduct a full life-cycle analysis of the greenhouse gas emissions associated with the LNG project.
