The chairman of the Maine Public Utilities Commission, Kurt Adams, does not expect long-term relief from high energy costs as a result of building an LNG regasification terminal in Maine. Saying that “Maine can do virtually nothing to control world commodity markets,” Adams encouraged conservation and development of “renewable, indigenous [energy] resources.” The Ellsworth American (Maine) provides further details.
