Ventura County Environmental Activist Says Minimal Impact from Cabrillo Port Project
The Ventura County Star reports on a local environmental activist who researched the merits of BHP Billiton’s proposed Cabrillo Port LNG terminal and concludes that the facility can operate with minimal adverse impacts. After reviewing public documents related to the project, Glenn Hening developed a 90-minute presentation describing the environmental effects as minimal but questioned whether the project is needed. The director of the Sierra Club’s coastal program criticized Hening’s work as ignoring long-term impacts. The Ventura County Star has also published Hening’s findings.
