Kennedy Clarifies Stance on Cabrillo Port LNG Terminal

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., president of the Waterkeeper Alliance environmental group of which Ventura Coastkeeper is a member, told the Malibu Surfside News in an interview published today that while he still supports LNG, “I have not endorsed … the Cabrillo Port project[, which] has all kinds of problems that I think may be fatal to it.” Earlier in the week, Kennedy wrote an opinion article endorsing Ventura Coastkeeper Executive Director Mati Waiya, who has criticized several aspects of Cabrillo Port but maintains that an environmentally-sound LNG terminal would be both possible and desirable.
