AES: LNG Task Force Is Biased

AES project coordinator Kent Morton questioned the objectivity of the Baltimore County LNG Task Force, a state-sanctioned group created to explore the environmental and safety risks of the Sparrows Point LNG terminal proposed for Dundalk, Md. “Seven of the 14 members have publicly stated their opposition,” Morton said. One of the project’s critics, Sharon Beazley of the local activist group LNG Opposition Team, is co-chair of the task force. The first of a series of meetings was held yesterday; members have until Dec. 31 to issue a recommendation to the General Assembly. The Baltimore Examiner has the story.
