USCG Captain Says Coordination of Submarine and LNG Tanker Traffic Is Achievable
Responding to concerns that LNG vessels traveling to Broadwater’s proposed LNG facility would disrupt Naval submarine transit , the Captain of the Port for the Long Island Sound said that directing both submarine and LNG tanker traffic is a manageable task. “Right now we think that’s a traffic management issue,” U.S. Coast Guard Capt. Peter Boynton said yesterday during a presentation to the Southeastern Connecticut Council of Governments.
