Distrigas Says Donations Are Not Connected to AES Battery Rock Proposal

A Distrigas spokesperson has denied allegations that Distrigas has made $175,000 in donations to assist Save the Harbor in its efforts to halt AES proposed LNG project on Outer Brewster Island. Julie Vitek says Distrigas has a long-standing history of donating money to harbor organizations supporting Boston Harbor. According to George Regan, whose public relations firm represents AES, Distrigas is seeking to increase capacity at its terminal in Everett, Mass. so that it could receive more LNG vessels.
