Broadwater Official Defends Weather Data

In an op-ed published today by Newsday, Broadwater senior vice president John Hritcko Jr. addresses allegations that the company erred or sought to mislead by submitting atmospheric data from Boston rather than Long Island, and by keeping certain information confidential. Hritcko explains that Broadwater “has always been moving toward finalizing data specific to the Long Island Sound” and that the Coast Guard letter was “a formal statement of the Coast Guard’s needs.” [Access to archived articles requires a fee.]
