Coast Guard to Draft Letter of Recommendation

The U.S. Coast Guard is preparing to draft a Letter of Recommendation for two proposed LNG facilities in Jackson County, Mississippi. In response to letters of intent submitted by the projects, Gulf LNG Clean Energy and Bayou Casotte Energy, the Coast Guard has issued a request for comments and notice of public meetings regarding marine safety and security related to the suitability of four channels for transport of LNG. The requests and notices can be found on page 69772 and page 69774 of the November 17, 2005 edition of the Federal Register.
