Canadian Government Conditionally Approves Petronas’s Pacific NorthWest LNG Terminal

CBC News reports that the Canadian federal government has approved Petronas’s proposed Pacific NorthWest LNG export terminal near Prince Rupert, British Columbia with 190 legally binding conditions. According to the report, majority sponsor Malaysian state oil company Petronas “initially said it would proceed with the project if the federal government gave its approval, but now the company says it will conduct a ‘total review’ of the project before making a final investment decision.”
