Canadian National Energy Board Recommends Approval of Upstream Feeder Pipeline to Pacific NorthWest LNG Terminal

Canada’s National Energy Board has recommended approval of the North Montney Mainline, which, according to the press release, will substantially increase capacity on TransCanada’s Nova Gas Transmission System.  Once in operation, the North Montney Mainline will provide transportation service from Progress Energy’s upstream natural gas reserves to the proposed Prince Rupert Gas Transmission Line, which will supply the Petronas-sponsored Pacific NorthWest LNG export terminal near Prince Rupert, British Columbia.  Read more in the Calgary Herald article.
