N.J. State Officials Request Federal Rejection of Proposed Port Ambrose LNG Terminal

New Jersey Ninth District Senator Christopher J. Connors, Assemblyman Brian E. Rumpf and Assemblywoman DiAnne C. Gove have sent a letter to the U.S. Maritime Administration, the U.S. Coast Guard and FERC expressing their opposition to and urging rejection of Liberty Natural Gas Company’s (Liberty) application for the proposed Port Ambrose LNG deepwater port located offshore of New Jersey and New York.  The Port Ambrose terminal would receive LNG from vessels, regasify the LNG, and then transport the vaporized gas to an interconnection with Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line’s Lower New York Bay lateral.  Read more in the press release.
