U.S. House Trade Subcommittee Schedules Hearing On Trade Implications Of LNG Exports

The U.S. House of Representatives Ways and Means Trade Subcommittee has scheduled a hearing for April 9, 2014 on the trade implications of U.S. energy policy and LNG exports. The focus of the hearing will include discussion of: (1) the trade implications of removing barriers to U.S. LNG exports, including potential effects on the trade deficit; (2) economic implications of increased LNG exports, including creation of U.S. jobs and the effect on small- and medium-sized businesses; (3) geopolitical effects of increasing U.S. LNG exports; and (4) the environmental impact of expanding LNG exports.  Read more in the press release.
