FERC Authorizes Increase in Sabine Pass LNG Production Capacity

FERC issued an order today approving Sabine Pass Liquefaction, LLC’s and Sabine Pass LNG, L.P.’s (together, Sabine Pass) application to increase the authorized maximum peak day LNG production capacity for Stages 1 and 2 (Trains 1-4) of its LNG export terminal project in Cameron Parish, La. from 2.2 to 2.76 Bcf/day.  Sabine Pass requested the authorization to reflect the maximum or peak LNG production and export capability of the Stage 1 and 2 trains “under optimal operating conditions, such as cooler ambient temperatures that increase turbine power and implementation of enhanced operations and maintenance processes that promote production efficiencies.”  FERC’s order can be found here, and the complete docket for the case can be found on eLibrary under Docket No. CP14-12.
