U.S. LNG Arrives in the Netherlands and Poland

Platts reports that last week the first shipments of U.S. LNG to land in northern Europe arrived in the Netherlands and Poland. Both cargoes were shipped from Cheniere Energy’s Sabine Pass LNG terminal in Cameron Parish, La. U.S. Department of Energy Secretary Perry released a statement on the shipments, noting that the “LNG shipment to the Netherlands is Northwest Europe’s first ever cargo of U.S. LNG” and “Poland has made it clear that U.S. LNG is critical to its efforts to diversify its sources of natural gas.”
