Sabine Pass LNG Cargo Shipped to Spain

Platts reports that a cargo of LNG has left Cheniere Energy’s Sabine Pass LNG terminal in Cameron Parish, La., and is headed to Spain.  This is the second shipment of U.S. LNG to Europe, where the LNG will compete with Algerian pipeline gas supplies in Spain and Portugal.  According to the article, by 2020, U.S. LNG exports are expected to be able to supply a quarter of the European Union market.
