AltaGas DCLNG Files for Export License for Douglas Channel B.C. Project

AltaGas DCLNG General Partner Inc. (“AltaGas GP”) filed an application with the Canadian National Energy Board to export approximately 365 Bcf/year over 25 years from a proposed floating LNG terminal near Kitimat, British Columbia (B.C.).  The project is a partnership among AltaGas GP, AltaGas Idemitsu Joint Venture Limited Partnership, a partnership between AltaGas Ltd. and Japanese company Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd., Belgium-based EXMAR NV, and French company EDF Trading Limited.  The application states that a final investment decision on the first phase of the project is expected by the end of 2015, with deliveries of LNG to begin in 2018.  Read more in the Alaska Highway News article.
