DOE Authorizes LNG Exports to Non-FTA Nations from Proposed Oregon LNG Terminal

Yesterday, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) issued an order conditionally approving the export of up to 1.25 Bcf/day of LNG (LNG) over 20 years from the proposed Oregon LNG Terminal in Warrenton, Ore. to nations without a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the United States.  The approval is conditioned on Oregon LNG’s satisfactory completion of FERC’s environmental review process for its proposed terminal.  DOE’s order can be found here, and a press release can be found here.
