Coast Guard Delays Review of Port Ambrose LNG Terminal Project

Law360 reports that the U.S. Coast Guard has suspended the timeline for processing the Port Ambrose Deepwater Port application for a proposed LNG import terminal located offshore New Jersey for a period of 90 days. The Coast Guard’s letter states that the suspension is due to, among other things, a number of data gaps in the application necessary to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement for the project within the statutory timeline of the Deepwater Port Act. The letter can be found here, and the complete docket for the Port Ambrose project can be found here.
