Dominion Cove Point LNG Files Export Terminal Application
Today, Dominion Cove Point LNG, LP (DCP) filed a formal application with FERC to construct and operate a liquefaction and LNG export terminal at the site of its existing LNG import terminal in Calvert County, Md. DCP’s application can be found on eLibrary under Docket No. CP13-113. DCP also announced that it has fully subscribed the capacity of its export terminal project by signing twenty-year terminal service agreements with Pacific Summit Energy, LLC, a U.S. affiliate of Japanese trading company Sumitomo Corporation, and GAIL Global (USA) LNG LLC, a U.S. affiliate of GAIL (India) Ltd. Sumitomo and GAIL have each contracted for half of the marketed capacity. Sumitomo in turn has announced agreements to serve Tokyo Gas Co. and Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc.
